On January 24, a roundtable discussion was held in the city of Strasbourg, the formal capital of the European Union, focusing on cooperation between Caucasian and Turkic communities and the European space, the need for active participation in political life, the preservation of identity, and the struggle for the freedom of their historical homeland.
Approximately 50 delegates from France, Germany, Norway, Canada, Austria, the Czech Republic, and the United Kingdom took part in the event.
The symposium was organized by the Assembly of the Peoples of the Caucasus (R. Kutaev), with active support and participation from the Tatar Council. Representing our side were Ruslan Aisin, co-chair of the roundtable, Damir Abdulov, and Bulat Saifutdinov.
A resolution was adopted, along with various appeals to international institutions and decisions emphasizing the need to strengthen horizontal ties between communities.
